Preservé™ breast augmentation in Düsseldorf: consultation, surgery and aftercare in one place

Consultation room of the clinic
Consultation room

Your Preservé™ breast augmentation takes place at Klinik am Seestern in Düsseldorf from the first consultation through to the follow-up appointments afterwards. The specialist clinic for plastic and aesthetic surgery has its own operating theatres: you are advised and operated on in the same place where you return for the check-ups after 2 weeks, 6 months and 1 year. After the procedure, you generally go home on the same day.

The clinic is on the left bank of the Rhine in Lörick, in the Am Seestern business district near the B7. The U77 runs directly from the main station to the Am Seestern stop, and there is free parking on the grounds. This also makes appointments after the procedure easy to reach from all over Düsseldorf, from Meerbusch, Neuss and the surrounding area.

THE METHOD

The Motiva Preservé™ method at Klinik am Seestern

Many women want a fuller décolleté but would like to keep the strain of a classic breast operation as low as possible. This is where the Motiva Preservé™ method comes in. Unlike with conventional breast augmentations, the breast tissue is meant to be largely preserved with Preservé™. The procedure is performed through an incision of about 2.5 cm in the inframammary fold. By pre-stretching the tissue, the implant is inserted without cutting through muscles, nerves or blood vessels.

FEATURES

What characterises the Preservé™ method

The aim of a Preservé™ breast augmentation is a breast that feels and moves naturally, with less strain on the body and a shorter recovery time. How the result turns out in an individual case depends on your starting situation. At Klinik am Seestern Düsseldorf, we offer this procedure as a complement to the established methods of breast augmentation.

After the consultation you receive a no-obligation cost estimate, so that you can decide in your own time.

Preservé™ breast augmentation – Dr. Bromba explains

THE PROCESS

How Preservé™ breast augmentation works at Klinik am Seestern

In a personal consultation, we discuss your wishes, examine you and inform you about the possibilities, limits and risks of the method. The procedure generally takes about 30 to 45 minutes and is performed without general anaesthesia, under local anaesthesia with accompanying twilight sedation.

THE PRINCIPLE

The four principles of the method

  1. 01

    Preserving breast anatomy

The breast tissue is meant to remain largely undamaged thanks to the surgical technique, with the aim of preserving sensation.

  2. 02

    Maintaining breast stability

The embedding technique is meant to keep the tissue lying stably around the implant.

  3. 03

    Soft implants

SmoothSilk® Ergonomix2® implants are used, which can be inserted through a small incision.

  4. 04

    Sterile technique

The implant is inserted touch-free. For complications affecting the implant, the manufacturer Motiva offers a guarantee package; we explain the terms in the consultation.

THE TECHNIQUE

The procedure in detail: how the Preservé™ technique works

The Preservé™ technique uses specially developed instruments and follows a three-stage process that is meant to protect the tissue:

  1. Step 1

    Tunnelling

With the Motiva Channel Separator, an access route through the inframammary fold to the future implant pocket is created, while the supporting tissue structures are meant to be spared.

  2. Step 2

    Balloon-assisted elongation

By inflating the Motiva Inflatable Balloon in a controlled way, the implant pocket is stretched gradually. The surrounding tissue and the stabilising ligament structures are preserved in the process.

  3. Step 3

    Implant insertion

The SmoothSilk® Ergonomix2® implant is placed sterile and touch-free via the Motiva Insertion Sleeve. This no-touch technique is meant to shorten the duration of the procedure and reduce the risk of infection.

AFTER THE PROCEDURE

Recovery after the procedure

In the first few days after the procedure, swelling can occur, which generally subsides after some time. Many patients are back out among people after one to two days. Light exercise is often possible after about a week, unrestricted physical activity after about three weeks. The suture knots are cut off after about two weeks. Follow-up appointments at Klinik am Seestern take place after 2 weeks, 6 months and 1 year. The final breast shape develops over the following months and is generally stable after around six months.

TECHNOLOGY

The implants: Motiva Ergonomix2®

Preservé™ breast augmentation uses Ergonomix2® implants from the manufacturer Motiva. They have a soft feel and are meant to adapt to the movement of the breast. According to the manufacturer, the SmoothSilk® surface is meant to improve tissue compatibility and reduce the risk of capsular contracture. As the implants are flexible, they can be inserted through small incisions.

The implants contain an RFID chip, which makes it possible to identify the inserted implant without a procedure.

COMPARISON

What distinguishes Preservé™ from classic breast augmentation?

Klinik am Seestern offers various methods of breast augmentation, including classic breast augmentation. In classic breast augmentation, the implant is usually placed beneath or above the breast muscle, which requires larger incisions and cutting through tissue structures. With Preservé™, by contrast, the implant is inserted by pre-stretching the breast tissue; muscles, nerves and blood vessels are meant to remain untouched. The aim is to reduce pain after the procedure, the recovery time and the risk of loss of sensation.

We clarify together in a detailed consultation which method is an option for you.

Preservé™ or classic?

Both routes lead to more volume with an implant, and Klinik am Seestern offers both. The differences at a glance.

Frequently asked questions

How exactly does the Preservé™ method work?

The Preservé™ method is a minimally invasive procedure for breast augmentation. The implant is inserted through an incision about 2.5 cm long in the inframammary fold. The breast tissue is pre-stretched; muscles, nerves and blood vessels are not meant to be cut through in the process. The aim is to preserve the anatomy of the breast as far as possible.

Is Preservé™ breast augmentation painful?

Because no muscles or nerves are cut through with the Preservé™ method, pain after the procedure is generally less than after a classic breast augmentation. A feeling of tightness is common and subsides after a few days.

Does the procedure have to take place under general anaesthesia?

No. Preservé™ breast augmentation is performed at Klinik am Seestern without general anaesthesia, under local anaesthesia with accompanying twilight sedation. We discuss in the consultation which form of anaesthesia is an option for you.

How quickly am I back out among people?

Many patients are back out among people after one to two days. Light exercise is often possible again after about a week, unrestricted physical activity after about three weeks. The suture knots are cut off after around two weeks. Follow-up appointments take place after 2 weeks, 6 months and 1 year.

Which implants are used in the Preservé™ method?

Preservé™ uses Ergonomix2® implants from the manufacturer Motiva. They have a soft feel and a SmoothSilk® surface.

Is sensation in the breast preserved?

Because nerves are not meant to be cut through in the Preservé™ method, the aim is to reduce the risk of loss of sensation. Changes in sensation are nevertheless possible; we inform you about this in the consultation.

Can I also choose a different method?

Yes. In addition to the Preservé™ method, Klinik am Seestern also offers classic breast augmentation.

Is the Preservé™ method suitable for every woman?

The Preservé™ method is suitable for many women who want a breast augmentation. Whether the procedure is an option in your situation, we clarify in a personal consultation. We take into account your physical requirements, your wishes and your expectations.
